"ЧВАРАК ФЕСТ"
If anything is being rendered in Vojvodina, it's definitely not ice, it's čvarci.
Čvarak Fest takes place in Kać (near Novi Sad) and is entirely devoted to one of Vojvodina's best-known brands: čvarak, or pork cracklings. The main event is the crackling-rendering competition. It sounds like a contest for the tastiest diet, which we'll of course start on Monday.
The programme also includes a tasting of disnotorski paprikaš, tamburaš bands and a fiaker parade. Local entrepreneurs will also be showing their products, so you're unlikely to leave without buying something. The date in the announcement is 8 November 2026, with the time and exact location not yet given, so it's worth checking closer to the day.
