“The Truth” by Florian Zeller

Everyone needs the truth, but almost everyone lies.
In Novi Sad on 30 October, a Friday, at 20:00, they're staging “Istina” (The Truth) by Florian Zeller, a member of the Académie française. It takes place in the NIS hall. Two married couples, old friends, and a gradually tangling web of affairs and half-truths. Zeller builds comic situations very precisely, and the dialogue is so sharp that it's funny in places, and awkward and even painful in others.
A comedy about infidelity that stays with you after the show: do we need the truth, and what's left of a relationship if you stop lying — to others and to yourself? Starring Gordan Kićić, Milica Trifunović, Nebojša Ilić Cile and Tamara Dragičević. I'd go, and then spend a couple of days mentally having it out with myself 🙈

Predstava „Istina” Florijana Zelera (Florian Zeller), člana Francuske akademije (l'Académie française), prati dva bračna para, dugogodišnje prijatelje, čiji se odnosi zapliću u mrežu međusobnih prevara i poluistina. U prepoznatljivom Zelerovom stilu, predstava se razvija kroz niz precizno građenih komičnih situacija i britak dijalog koji razotkriva način na koji savremeni čovek razume ljubav, vernost i bliskost. Inteligentna, duhovita, ali na momente i bolna, ova komedija o neverstvu otvara pitanja koja ostaju i nakon gledanja: da li nam je istina zaista potrebna, da li je laž ponekad lakši izbor, i šta bi ostalo od naših odnosa kada bismo prestali da lažemo — druge, ali i sebe?
