Detroit techno is coming to Belgrade — and that's not a figure of speech.
On Saturday, 14 November, as part of its fifth season, club KULT hosts Kenny Larkin — one of the key figures of the second wave of Detroit techno. It kicks off at 23:00. If you know the albums «Azimuth» on Warp and «Metaphor» on R&S, or his releases on Carl Craig's Planet E, you already get what this is about. And if you don't, it's a good excuse to catch up.
Larkin has more than thirty years of a sound all his own: roots in jazz, funk and soul, complex rhythms, but with warmth and groove. They say the evening can take an unexpected turn, and I like that. Behind the decks he'll be joined by a local team: DOO, one of the founders of the Beyond House collective, and KULT resident Marko Milosavljević.

Kult pres. Kenny Larkin | 14.11. | Club Kult U subotu, 14. novembra 2026, klub KULT u okviru svoje pete sezone dočekuje Kennyja Larkina, jednog od ključnih autora drugog talasa detroitskog tehna. Od albuma „Azimuth”, objavljenog za Warp, i „Metaphor” za R&S, do izdanja za Planet E Carla Craiga, Larkin više od tri decenije gradi prepoznatljiv muzički izraz. Ukorenjen u džezu, fanku i soulu, njegov zvuk povezuje složene ritmove sa toplinom, emocijom i gruvom, a njegov rad ostaje važna referenca različitim generacijama producenata i DJ-eva. RA biografija Njegov dolazak u KULT prilika je da se sa tim delom detroitske priče sretnemo izbliza — kroz muziku koja nosi bogatu istoriju, ali i slobodu da veče povede u neočekivanom pravcu.
