There are songs you know by heart even if you've never learned them.

On 19 November at Sava Centar in Belgrade, Mira Škorić will celebrate 40 years on stage with a big solo concert. People talk about her not only as a powerhouse voice, but as someone with incredible energy and charisma. Expect timeless hits sung in that instantly recognisable voice: “Otkači”, “Ti si k'o i ja”, “Ista nam je sudbina”, “U službi ljubavi”, “Strah od ljubavi”, “Kao led se istopim” and plenty more.

I caught myself realising I used to sing along to half of these songs without knowing whose they were. So it's worth going at least for that “oh, and this one's hers too!” moment.

Practical note: Sava Centar itself is not the organiser, and tickets are sold only through Ticket Vision and Efinity. Enter from Vladimir Popović Street, via the main entrance of the Blue Hall. The centre has ramps, lifts and adapted toilets.
