New Year hike to Sokolska planina
Attention‼️ The last friendly hike of the year — you could even call it a New Year's one!!!
When: 13 December
Where: Sokolska planina
Format: planned as a medium-difficulty hike to stretch your legs and gaze at the beauty of western Serbia. The winter solstice is near and the day is disastrously short, so we set off early, walk briskly, chat, take photos, enjoy the views and explore Serbia's frozen nature. The route is long, a 15 km loop, with about 650–700 metres of total ascent, so be physically prepared for a long walk.
What we'll see:
The Soko Grad rock, the Rožanj peak and a couple of others (weather permitting). Bonus: the surrounding scenery – views over the valleys around. Bring your drones. We'll make several stops on the way, so bring something for a snack, and we may have mulled wine.
The forest, mountains and rural Serbia are waiting for you.
At the end we'll have dinner in a nearby town

This is a non-commercial outing, a get-together for people with shared interests 👣
If you have a car — great, let us know, maybe you can give someone a lift.
We'll arrange a transfer if needed. Its price will depend on the number of participants.

First hike of the year: scouting Bobija
Hooray! At last, the first friendly hike of the year will take place on 24 January. Let's see if there's still snow outside the city ❄️
Upd: We took into account all the wishes about the date and people's flexibility, and settled on 24 January.
⛰️This time we're going on a scouting trip to Bobija.
Bobija is a mountain range in western Serbia, in the area called Azbukovica. It lies between the right bank of the Drina, the Sokolska mountains, Jablanik, Medvednik and the canyon of the Trešnjica river. The highest peak is called Tornička Bobija and is 1272 metres high.
Difficulty-wise, it's planned as an easy-to-medium hike to stretch your legs and see the beauty of western Serbia.
Winter isn't retreating yet and the day is still quite short, so we set off early, walk briskly, chat, take photos, enjoy the views and explore Serbia's frozen nature.
I think there will still be snow in places – it melts more slowly in the mountains than in the city. The route is a 14.5 km loop with about 550 metres of ascent, so be physically prepared for a long walk.
🗺️On the route we'll see 4 peaks: Opaljena Stena (1,156) – Oštra Stena (1,158) – Crni Vrh (1,264) – Tornička Bobija (1,272), plus 4 viewpoints.
Bring your drones. We'll make several stops on the way, so bring something for a snack, and we may have mulled wine.
At the end – dinner in the nearest town

This isn't a commercial trip, it's a get-together of like-minded people 👣
We're going in our own cars; if you can give someone a lift that would be super — let us know how many free seats you have.

A bus with 8 seats costs 300 euros. With all 8 seats filled, it's 37.5 euros per person.

Photo exchange • 24 January 2026 • Bobija. Unconquered 😉
I'd love to say that today we conquered Bobija, but it's more like Bobija conquered us) We planned 14 km — we did 17, and some people did all 20. We only managed to get up one peak. Oh well! But we drove to places others wouldn't have dared, all praise to our fearless Serbian driver)
Along the way we counted sheep with tails, met two utterly charming piglets, had our fill of Serbian villages and mountains, and even saw Bosnia in the distance.
We found snowdrifts. We checked: no flowers yet. But most importantly, we got to know each other, walked, laughed and chatted to our hearts' content! All in all, it was great! Only the organiser was left unhappy, but we fed him and he came round))
He says there'll be more hikes!!!
